Heaven on Earth: Pisces New Moon

NEW – Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

Yesterday’s Pisces New Moon occurred at 2+ degrees of the sign at exactly  5:34 PM EST. As New Moons go this one is an extremely powerful one kicking off this era of Neptune in Pisces — heralding the potential for an experience of ‘heaven on earth.’

Here is a quote from Zane Stein, ‘the’ Chiron pioneer, from a letter he wrote to my friend and teacher Eric Francis in today’s edition of Planet Waves.

“Neptune has only recently entered Pisces, but it is feeling quite at home as it rules that sign. If a normal New Moon in this sign emphasizes the extremes of the two fish swimming in opposite directions (spiritual growth, for example, versus escapism), consider the conjunction with Neptune as upping the ante. The potential for spiritual growth is so much, much more so now than any of us have ever experienced in this lifetime, but likewise the potential for self-destruction is equally greater.”

Pisces is the sign of cosmic or Christ or Krishna Consciousness. But it is also the sign that represents Maya — the great cosmic illusion that tells us we are separate from a greater reality of God. It invites us to peer beyond the veil, if we want to experience a greater eternal truth and reality.

There are other powerful aspects at the time of this New Moon that can give us a clue into its energy. To begin with this New Moon occurs at the midpoint of Neptune at 0+ Pisces and Chiron at 4+ Pisces. Midpoints are rather significant in astrology and as the name suggests, they bring us access to a pointed fusion of the energies of the other two planets — like mixing two colors to get a third.

With the Sun and Moon at the midpoint of Neptune and Chiron — this calls for a great deal of self-awareness and discernment. Like clearing the windshield of fog, before we start driving the car on a cold dark night. And indeed this New Moon in many ways seems to me to represent the ‘dark night of the soul;’ purging us on our way to union with the one divine life force.

Here is a quote from the Wiki: “Rather than resulting in permanent devastation, the dark night is regarded by mystics and others as a blessing in disguise, whereby the individual is stripped (in the dark night of the senses) of the spiritual ecstasy associated with acts of virtue. Although individuals may for a time seem to outwardly decline in their practices of virtue, in reality they become more virtuous, as they are being virtuous less for the spiritual rewards (ecstasies in the cases of the first night) obtained and more out of a true love for God. It is this purgatory, a purgation of the soul, that brings purity and union with God.”

Chiron is a Centaur planet who’s energy manifests as a rapid process of transformation. Its orbit crosses the orbits of Saturn (“limits,” “bounds” of the material world) and Uranus (the awakener that breaks through limits — from the known to the unknown) thus making it a “bridge between the inner and outer worlds” as Barbara Hand Clow aptly calls it in her book by the same name.

Chiron was also the wounded healer and with Chiron currently in Pisces, there may be deep subconcscious wounds surfacing at this time. But Chiron’s greatest gift is of deep healing, which can only come with awareness. Without awareness of our wounds this can only feel like we are spiraling out of control, drowning in a whirlpool of chaos. Denial can only suppress issues not dissolve them. Suppression of pain only solidifies its manifestation on deeper levels, allowing it to consciously or unconsciously seep out and poison our interactions, choices and thus our reality. In awareness, however painful it may be, we can take the first step towards healing.

We are navigating deep waters now and the situations we face may certainly seem rather lucid, watery and slippery. We could go around in circles for eternity, trying to make sense of it all. But Pisces energy is not about logic, it is a feeling, an experience and intuition as opposed to Virgo its opposite sign that governs rational thought, logic and precision. It represents one’s intentions rather than one’s actions which are always subject to judgement from the external world.

Only in being honest with oneself, can we move forward with any feeling of grace. At the end of the day, if our conscience is clean we can rest in a peaceful sleep. And where we know we have acted out of misguidance, there is still divine forgiveness if we seek it. And that begins with forgiving oneself for the past. Guilt is a toxic emotion that further traps us in confusion, preventing clarity of action. We cannot change the past, but we can affect and do create the future by our consciousness and awareness in the present.

Also significantly this New Moon is in conjunction with Pallas (Athena) the protectoress of Athens. She was born from the head of Zeus, putting her wisdom higher than that of the King of the Gods. To me this is also symbolic, of her wisdom being above the “head” or mind, so it is based in non-dual sight. She is also pictured with an owl on her shoulder, the owl being a symbol of wisdom, with the gift of being able to see 360 degrees (the whole) even in the dark. She is especially significant in legal matters, and in Pisces, this could symbolize wise spiritual counsel. On the flip side, Pallas can be defensive, which comes when one is feeling powerless internally. But defensiveness often just defeats our purpose.

With the Sun and Moon our personal luminaries in conjunction to Pallas, this is the divine wisdom that resides in all of us. The help or protection you need is present, it will require trust though to be open to receive the help that is being offered. God’s love is indeed like rain, but if we remain like upturned pots, we will remain empty. It is only in being open to receive can we be filled with the love of the Universe.

Also this Pisces New Moon forms a sextile to Jupiter in Taurus, suggesting solid hope on the horizon. Imagine a magical stream, irrigating and pouring life giving water to situations so there can be abundance and new life. It will require patience and commitment but where we are willing to do the hard work and nurture a dream, it will bring forth solid results. This energy is also especially powerful for spell work, and using the power of intent for manifestation. Out of the womb of the void all of creation was born.

By the time of the Virgo Full Moon two weeks from now, we should see the first signs of seeds we are sowing now coming to fruition. Mid-March will also bring another solid alignment in the form of a Grand Earth Trine between Mars, Pluto and a Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Taurus; with Pallas Athena in Pisces forming a Kite aspect to the planets.

As we enter this New Moon cycle, this energy is calling for deep trust in one’s own inner light to guide us through the ebb and flow of life. Then we can be open to and seize the serendipitous opportunities that are almost sure to arise.

If you would like to get a deeper read on what opportunities lie in store for you at this time, please contact me for a Personal Astrology Consultation. Together we can look at how the planets are affecting you and your chart personally and chart out your course in this incredibly magical time.

With Love,

Priya

Do you believe in Magic? Sun conjunct Neptune; Dark of the Moon in Pisces

Weekly Horoscope Service | Personal Astrology Consultations

2012 Astro Calendar

Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

Dear Friends,

The Sun ingressed Pisces yesterday, and made its first conjunction to Neptune in Pisces since 1861, suggesting we stand in a rather mystical, magical moment out of time, likely to bring dream like surreal experiences.

The Pisces New Moon occurs on Feb. 21, 2012 at 5:34 PM EST, but right now we’re in the ‘Dark of the Moon’ also known as the Balsamic phase of the Moon.

This is considered one of the most potent and fertile phase for seeding new intentions. But it is also marks the end of a cycle calling for a deep release for the past. People born under this phase of the Moon are especially intuitive and likely to experience life as such — a constant conscious release of emotional and earthly attachments as they journey further towards an awakening to their spiritual reality.

As we move through this time before the New Moon, this is the part of the journey where we have to first get both feet in the boat, let go of this shore and all that is familiar, only then can we begin our journey to the other side.

In Astrology any and every aspect has infinite interpretations and possibilities of manifestation, and can be in experienced in as many different ways as there are life forms on earth. This is the beauty of Astrology and indeed our Universe. But of all planets, Neptune and Pisces is the energy that most represents the what we would call “infinite.”

With the Sun-Neptune conjunction right now the possibilities are indeed endless and limitless. But naturally this can also be disconcerting, like being adrift in the ocean on a dark night. But interestingly the coming New Moon will also be at the mid-point of Neptune and Chiron, (an aspect we will dive deeper into over the coming days) allowing us to sharpen and focus a vision that is now emerging in our consciousness. The New Moon will also sextile Jupiter suggesting no matter how confusing things have been lately, there is real hope on the horizon.

At the time of the New Moon with no light in the sky, especially in Pisces, there is a deep need to turn inward to the eternal light of one’s soul and learn to trust one’s own intuition to guide us forth. Trust in the flow of life, then we can steering our ship, staying open to the serendipitous opportunities that are almost sure to arise…

PISCES

Neptune your ruler recently entered your sign and the New Moon in your sign this week marks the kick-off to this period of renaissance. You are re-birthing in a profound way and what emerges in this process may at times have you rubbing your eyes in disbelief. As long as you don’t get big-headed about this and in no delusion of what you came on this planet to accomplish, you can indeed achieve what some might call miraculous and impossible. You have big ideas, and they have every chance of coming to fruition. But you also need a deep sense of self-awareness rather than any need to maintain a self-image. Go deeper below the surface, to ask yourself who you are and consciously dissolve of any false sense of identity. You are a limitless creature with boundless potential. But while here on this planet, you have are mortal and human with one life to live — so what are the experiences you choose? The possibilities are indeed endless so choose wisely based on what you most want to bring to being, in your lifetime. Your mission will require focus and commitment to what works for the greatest good, rather than any self-serving purpose. There in lies the key to your success. And above all — To thine own self be true.

Last few days of Sun in Aquarius…

Weekly Horoscope Service | Personal Astrology Consultations

Saturn in Libra Horoscopes | Mars in Virgo Horoscopes | 2012 Astro Calendar

Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

==

Dear Friends,

We are now moving through the last few days of the Sun in Aquarius, an influence that is bringing collective efforts and team dynamics in the spotlight. When any planet moves towards the end of the sign, we feel the energy of the sign rather potently. It’s like the planet has gathered momentum and like a sponge soaked in all lessons of the sign as it reaches the final degrees.

Of all the planets in the zodiac we feel the energy of the Sun most significantly — it is after all our only and primary natural source of life-giving energy here on earth. Astrologically it represents our individual, primary consciousness. The Sun will not return to this part of the zodiac for another year. As we get ready for a transition this is our last chance for a while to learn these lessons well.

There are a few aspects occurring over the coming days that are due to be rather significant in shaping the coming phase of our journey. On Saturday Feb. 18, 2012 at 11:02 AM EST the Sun forms a trine to Saturn (retrograde) in Libra, will oppose Transpluto in Leo and then goes Void for a few hours before it changes signs and enters Pisces on Feb. 19, 2012, 1:17 AM EST.

The question we can ask as we move through the coming days is — have we learned to be team-players without losing our individuality? Do we play fair, and stand confidently in our own light? Or do we feel over-shadowed or criticized by others, insecure of who we are? And how do we balance differing opinions, peacefully? The upcoming trine to Saturn offers a kind of stabilization in this respect. Trines are considered easy aspects but with a little added awareness and effort, we can get the most out of them.

The aspect to Saturn seems to suggest there is potential to clear off unfinished business, renegotiate relationships and stabilize a situation so it works for the whole. Which are the relationships that offer you space to be yourself, while still being supportive of you. And are you able to do the same for yourself and others?

Shortly after its trine to Saturn, the Sun opposes Transpluto in Leo — a hypothetical point which according to Lynn Koiner offers potential for ‘learning wholeness and integration in your relationships with other.’ Especially on the Aquarius-Leo axis, this aspect offers an opportunity to come face to face with one’s sense of purpose and individuality, without fear of what others may think. With the Sun in Aquarius, rather than trying to please others or fit in with the crowd, this is about self-acceptance in which there can be true liberation.

After the Sun opposes Transpluto it will be Void for a few hours. A Void Sun often will bring unusual occurrences and events, in Aquarius, it would seem especially more so. This seems like a narrow window of opportunity, which outwardly may appear like one is throwing caution to the wind. But the more one can find individual identity we can trust we are automatically are working towards the best interests of the whole.

Then when the Sun enters Pisces we can enter this next phase of our journey anchored in self-awareness, with a true sense of purpose, allowing us to chart our course, rather than feel adrift or lost at sea with no direction. Once the Sun enters Pisces it will enter a series of conjunctions to planets — Neptune, Pallas, Chiron helping focus a vision that is now emerging.

Quarter Moon Phase & Valentine’s Day Offer

Saturn in Libra Horoscopes | Mars in Virgo Horoscopes | 2012 Astro Calendar

Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

==

Dear Friends,

We are now at the Quarter Moon, marking the half-way point between the Full Moon a week ago, and the upcoming Pisces New Moon on Feb. 21, 2012.

This is bringing us to a turning point from events that began to emerge then. Knowing what you know now, if you could change something about your life, what would it be? And this almost always begins with instigating change within oneself and this the opportunity the Quarter Moon offers us.

Currently the Moon is in Scorpio the sign of transformation, while the Sun is in Aquarius the sign of liberation. Both are fixed signs, suggesting the change is not necessarily going to be an easy one. But in letting go of the darker emotions, there can indeed be a sense of liberation, bringing a true lightness of being. You can only be yourself, in self-acceptance you can evolve and let your best self shine.

Here’s the Blog from yesterday covering other aspects for today and energy over the next few days.

Also a gentle reminder, this is the last Day to book your Relationship Reading at a Discounted Rate. All readings are done via Phone or Skype. To book a session, please use the buttons below.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Truth or Fantasy? : Mercury in Pisces conjunct Neptune and Chiron; Moon in Scorpio

Weekly Horoscope Service | Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Astro Calendar

Personal Astrology Consultations

Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

(Read reader feedback at bottom of this post.)

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate.” — Carl Jung

Dear Friends,

Mercury enters Pisces today at 8:37 PM EST and conjuncts Neptune shortly after midnight on Feb. 14, 2012 here on the East Coast of the US. Followed by a conjunction to Chiron and sextile to Jupiter on Feb. 16, 2012.

Currently Mercury is the last degree of Aquarius, minutes away from forming an exact trine to Saturn in Libra. This aspect is bringing a chance to clear the air and reach a solid understanding of situations and what we can do to readdress a balance. Listen as well as speak and you can gather crucial information, allowing for compromise within differing opinions to find a solution that world.

Also given tomorrow is Valentine’s day, it would be helpful to be aware of the energy we are under. Aside from other aspects, currently the Moon is in Scorpio and will be tomorrow as well. At best things could get rather poetic, steamy, intimate and passionate. But a Scorpio Moon suggests there are likely to be rather intense perhaps darker emotions to confront as well. If what you want is closeness, do what you can to surrender resentment and emotional baggage, only then there can be true intimacy.

Venus is also currently approaching a square to Pluto (exact on February 15, 2012) amping up the intensity. Venus-Pluto aspects can often bring rather obsessive feelings to the forefront. But squares point to an inner resolution and this aspect asks an inner surrender, acceptance and acknowledgment of one’s desires rather than holding on to expectations, especially when it comes to love. Happiness or contentment, is an inner state of being. If we give away this power to external factors, or needing things to be a certain way before we can feel whole or happy, we are inevitably setting ourselves up for disappointment. Love “needs” nothing. It just is.

Mercury is the planet that represents primarily the ‘mind,’  thought processes and communication. Over the coming three weeks as Mercury transits through Pisces at best this can be a rather poetic, creative, imaginative, intuitive and perhaps even psychic influence allowing one to dive deeper into the mysteries of the infinite and that which is otherwise unseen and hidden behind the veil of illusion. But Pisces also has it’s shadow side bringing us under the influence of deception, denial, drugs or other intoxicants, illusions and delusion.

The Greatest Love of All: The Astrology of Whitney Houston

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be

– Performed by Whitney Houston, Written by Michael Masser and Linda Creed

The Greatest Love of All

==

I woke up yesterday with Whitney Houston singing ‘The Greatest Love of All’ in my head. And then last night I saw someone post a link on Facebook, announcing the sad news that she had passed away. I have chills even now, as I write this, because I haven’t heard any songs, or thought of Whitney Houston in a long time.

She was 24 when she sang ‘The Greatest Love of All,’ a time when she was on clearly on top of her game. But if you listen to the words, she sang her soul truth then.

Given that I grew up on her music I felt I must write a few words, of what I see in her chart and what we can learn from it. Not just about Astrology and her, but human nature. Although that particular song, if you listen to it speaks her chart more than I ever could.

She was a Pisces Rising, with Leo Sun and Aries Moon. As much as she was an old soul (Saturn in 12th) she was also a child at heart.

The first thing that jumped out at me when I saw her chart was her Moon was square her Nodes, with the Moon being the ruler of her North Node. Her self-esteem it would seem largely was connected with her childhood and her relationship with her mother. Also, Jupiter the ruler of 10th House in conjunction to the Moon, suggesting her public image also greatly defined this for her. And then with Eris in conjunction to the Moon and Jupiter we can see this likely brought on an extreme crisis of self-worth. “Who am I?” “What am I worth?”

We also see Mars (ruler of Aries) in Libra in opposition to her Natal Moon in Aries in her 2nd House conjunct Jupiter and Eris. A lot of her self-esteem came from, and was defined by her relationships. Her abusive marriage was something that was a well known fact. And as an abusive relationship will often do, it stripped her of self-esteem heightening her feeling of extreme loneliness, like a lost, unprotected child trying to find her true identity in spite of who she was in the eyes of the public.

The Ascendant is the mask we wear, our sense of self-identity and also our first point of contact with the outside world.

On the surface, her Pisces Ascendant  gave her a glamorous, elusive, untouchable quality and persona. Also with, Chiron in Pisces her first house shows us both her natural gift of music, incredible vocal range and singing abilities. But Pisces like all signs, carries it’s shadow side — and we see under her gifts, talent, and spirit, but the Chiron in Pisces also shows us she was a tortured soul.

Barbara Hand Clow says of this placement of Chiron in Pisces — these are individuals who can be extremely secretive, and their greatest crisis comes from needing to connect with the “other side.” Without deep self-awareness or therapy, this can often lead to extreme drug use, for the woundedness these individuals feel is so deep in their psyche, it’s hard to deal with consciously leading to a desire for escape of all that is painful.

Valentine Special Offer – Astrology Consultation

Weekly Horoscope Service

Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

Personal Astrology Consultations

Dear Friends,

It’s that time of the year when love is on our minds and hearts. (If not in every shop window and every other commercial on TV!)

In that light – I’m offering a Valentine Special Astrology Reading offer, with a focus on your relationships — a current one or one that has yet to enter your world, your patterns in relationships or what you may feel are blockages to finding the love you seek.

To avail of this offer please book before or by Feb. 14, 2012 by clicking the buttons below.

I know I am preaching to the choir here, but I would like to add that love is not something that can be defined by a calendar date. Love is an action, behavior and verb, not a noun. It is a choice we make daily to celebrate ourselves, another, and more importantly sharing the love we feel in our heart.

A heart that is full brims over naturally flooding our world with love and needs no other to complete it.

That said, this year 2012 brings us one of the best chances to find the love we seek with a rather auspicious Venus Transit of the Sun which occurs later this year in June. And if our hearts are open there is no reason the love we seek cannot enter our lives…

With Love,

Priya

Venus conjuncts Uranus in Aries: Hearts on Fire…

Weekly Horoscope Service | Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Astro Calendar

Personal Astrology Consultations

Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

(Read reader feedback at bottom of this post.)

She takes just like a woman, yes, she does
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl.

– Bob Dylan, Just Like a Woman

Dear Friends,

Venus has now left the deep waters of Pisces and entered Aries the 1st sign of the zodiac. She is also approaching a conjunction to Uranus exact tonight Feb. 8, 2012 at 9:28 PM EST — which is sure to bring sudden, surprising developments.

The relationship between Pisces and Aries can be seen through the Prometheus myth, where Prometheus ‘the Awakener’ stole the fire (Aries) of the Gods (Pisces) and gave it to mortals. Venus in Aries represents the pure fire of creation. After her transit through Pisces, this is the un-manifest creation, manifest.

Astrologically Venus is said to be in ‘detriment’ in Aries, whereas she was ‘exalted’ in Pisces. When a planet is in its ‘detriment,’ its energy is harder to express and access naturally.

Here we get the image of a fallen angel, a Goddess who’s been sent down from heaven, to earth — and the ways and rules of this material world are often simply baffling to her — like a child in a new world.

Think of a new born, whose very presence and being is love. But it is hard for a child to express its needs so he or she will cry, or throw a tantrum, rather than be able to tell you what it’s feeling or what it needs. Do you then speak to the child and try to understand what he or she needs, give it tools for self-expression, or do we impatiently punish or beat the child, who has no understanding of why you would hit him or her? The same goes for our hearts.

Venus in Aries is like the child who colors wildly outside the lines or paints the sky a bright green instead of blue. Are we going to stamp the imagination out of (our inner) child and heart, to make it conform to the world? Or do we encourage, appreciate his or her uniqueness and see the wondrous world as new again through his or her eyes?

Leo Full Moon: A Moment of Truth…

Weekly Horoscope Service | Personal Astrology Consultations

Saturn in Libra Horoscopes | Mars in Virgo Horoscopes | 2012 Astro Calendar

Cosmic Diaries: 2012 Annual Horoscopes

A man can tell a thousand lies
I’ve learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell
The secret I have learned, ’till then
It will burn inside of me

I know where beauty lives
I’ve seen it once, I know the warmth she gives
The light that you could never see
It shines inside, you can’t take that from me

– Madonna, Live to Tell

Full Moon’s bring revelation and here comes a moment of truth…

Today is the day of the Full Moon in Leo exact at 4:54 PM EST. At the time of this lunation, the Sun (ruler of Leo) conjuncts Mercury in Aquarius, in opposition to the Leo Full Moon. Meanwhile and significantly Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius stations retrograde hours before the Full Moon. It will station direct again on June 25, 2012 a day after the Gemini New Moon Eclipse.

How does one balance with one’s need to shine, while playing by the rules and still being part of a group? This is the dynamic of the Leo-Aquarius axis which brings to focus the individual vs. the collective.

Although there is a need now for recognition and acceptance, this can only come when one is able to authentic, regardless of what anyone “thinks.” To often it is easy to get caught up in group dynamics and the games people play. Often anyone that dare’s to speak their mind freely risks being isolated, judged or singled out for being weird or too different. But sacrifice this and sacrifice your individuality. At your cost.

Now the Moon in Leo is full of heart, feeling rather passionate. Kind of like the lioness who would want to protect her cubs. And we have Saturn stationing retrograde this morning taking the role of the ‘father’ or the authority figure. But watch the need to be over-protective or judgmental.

As much as the Sun (ruler of Leo) represents the self, it also asks for a level of curiosity, self-awareness and heart. In conjunction to Mercury in Aquarius, the question is how do we remain curious, open and childlike; rather than childish, judgmental, opinionated and giving in to peer pressure just to preserve status-quo? Without self-awareness, we are more than likely to battle insecurities or fears of being lost in the crowd.

Aquarius represents the collective consciousness and non-attachment (rather than detachment which implies a lack of presence) Mercury ‘the mind’ is exalted in Aquarius; to understand this, it would help to understand ultimately the mind is a vessel and at best it’s function is to act as a satellite dish. It is only through non-attachment (rather than detachment) to personal ego and opinions, can there be freedom of thought, allowing one to receive insights from the collective unconscious.
